Day by day. Without haste, without urgency, as Matteo Arnaldi’s reflections clearly reveal. Now, at just 24 years old, the EA7 ambassador’s inherent refinement is already harmonized with a rational approach to both the game itself and self-reflection.

During the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, we sought to capture his stream of athletic consciousness, striving to understand the evolving nature of his relationship with tennis.

“Tennis has always been my sport—the one that’s been with me since childhood. I explored many others along the way, but it was tennis I fell in love with. I began playing day by day, and even now, with each passing day, I find myself more passionate, more immersed. I enjoy it more than ever.

My growth as a player—on the court and beyond—is unfolding gradually, shaped by experience and strengthened by mental focus. I strive to give my all. It’s not that I wasn’t before, but now I’m pushing further, testing my limits. I’m challenging myself constantly, and that, I believe, is the essence of the growth I’m seeking this year.

In many ways, I still see myself at the beginning of the journey. I’m evolving day by day, as I said. I’m still young—this is only my second full year and a half on the circuit—and I’m learning continuously. I feel like I’ve improved tremendously. Experience has given me a clearer sense of how to approach each tournament, and every match helps refine my game. Still, there’s a great deal to build on.

Representing EA7 in the sports world is a true honor. To bring a fashion brand into athletic competition adds both value and visibility—and, I must admit, a certain elegance on the court.

Competing in the sport’s biggest tournaments inevitably brings pressure, but also a powerful desire to rise to the occasion. In those moments, I often find I can give everything—express myself fully. Of course, there are times when the pressure takes over. But as I’ve said, I love playing in front of an audience. The bigger the stage, the more freely I play.

And the greatest gift, as a player, is the crowd. I’ve found that the more people there are in the stands, the more comfortable I feel. I love the game—and when the arena is full, I enjoy it even more.”
