A closer look at the latest Briko Ride Club experience
The legendary Alfredo Martini once said, “Cycling isn’t just about the pain; it’s also about the pleasure. You’re out there in nature, in the world. You’re with people, part of something bigger.” The Briko Ride Club fully embraces that sentiment and brings it to life today, celebrating a love for cycling that only truly shines when shared with others. This past weekend, that love was on full display in the beautiful region of Piedmont.
Briko riders took on some of Piedmont’s most breathtaking landscapes, like the towering Monviso Mountain, the iconic source of the Po River, and the serene Pontechianale Dam, which has been guarding its namesake lake near the French border since the 1940s. As they rode through this perfect blend of natural wonder and human ingenuity, the Briko Ride Club stayed true to its ideals, connecting with the land and the people who make it unique. The journey wrapped up at Officina Antagonisti, where local brewers from the Valle Varaita shared their innovative beers, locally sourced food, and their passion and vision with the Club.

“Cycling is part of our culture and central to the mission of Antagonisti,” says Enrico Ponza, master brewer and driving force behind the project. “For the past decade, we’ve worked to revitalize our villages and the surrounding areas, and cycling has played a huge role in that. We’re lucky to be near Colle dell’Agnello, a legendary climb that draws cycling enthusiasts from all over. It’s amazing how cycling communities, like the Briko Ride Club, have connected with our region and our work. Collaborating with a brand like Briko, with its Italian roots and Turin-based excellence, feels like a perfect match. Hosting the Club and crafting special beers for this event has helped further establish us as a key player in the local community, cycling scene, and beyond.”
Cycling isn’t just about suffering; it’s about the pure joy of riding, being part of something bigger, and sharing that with others. Once again, the Briko Ride Club has proven that the true beauty of this sport lies in the connections and experiences it creates.
